ABSTRACT
In technical terms a mailing list is a list of electronic addresses used by a mail exploder (a software application) to forward messages to all those on the list. In common Internet parlance it refers to a group of persons who exchange messages via electronic mail on some theme, or themes, that are usually agreed in advance. Mailing lists are an offshoot and development of ordinary electronic mail.
