ABSTRACT
Most of the important funding bodies, whether governmental or charitable, have a Web presence. Invariably you can obtain information from their sites on the grants that are available. In some instances you can submit applications electronically. Below I list only a few. Many others can be found by employing a search engine. It may also be useful to explore the resources I mention later in connection with monitoring additions to Web-based resources,pages 310–11. Past issues, which in most cases can be trawled with the aid of a search engine, include resources relating to funding, for both students and research projects.
