They can be tangible or intangible, i.e. they can be things we can actually feel and touch, such as a brick or a lorry (chattels pe rsonal), or they can be th ings wh ich we cannot touch, but which will, nevertheless, have value, such as a patent or a debt (see Figu re 5.1).
