ABSTRACT
In the previous chapters some of the main consequences for the territories concerned of the respective conflicts have been set out. This chapter seeks to examine further results of the two major conflicts, in Indochina and Algeria, both for the countries concerned and for France. The chapter will also seek to extract and identify certain other themes relating to decolonization in general.
