ABSTRACT
The Austrian-Belgian War of 1789-1790 Revolt against Habsburg authority starts in the Austrian Netherlands in October 1789. A declaration of independence under the name of 'Belgium' is issued in December 1789. The 'Belgians' are crushed by the Austrian military, who re-enter Brussels in December 1790.
