ABSTRACT

In previous chapters, you have learnt about the importance of providing good client or

patient care so that ethical problems and/or dilemmas are minimised. In addition, by using

critical systematic reflection in relation to situations, incidents and behaviours you can gain

insight into your own behaviour. When doing this, the questions that you or others ask will

highlight discrepancies in your thinking, which will then lead you to improve your profes-

sional practice. In this chapter, you will learn how working in a team impacts on ethical

issues, problems and/or dilemmas, so that you can be aware of the potential conflicts that

could lie ahead. This is important as, in today’s health practice, it is usual for a team to pro-

vide the care and treatment of clients or patients.
