ABSTRACT
The ethical issues of pain and resuscitation have been brought together in this chapter as
they can give rise to similar ethical problems and/or dilemmas. These occur in relation to
clients’ or patients’ rights and the potential power of the health professional to ignore these
rights through lack of knowledge and understanding of pain and resuscitation.
