They can also be useful for tracking down files that have been relocated, and identifying their authors, this frequently being the only assist to tracking their current internet locations, if any. As a not uncommon reason for being unable to access a particular file is that the author of the link has mistyped the address, knowledge of how addresses should be compiled, or are likely to be structured, permits rectification of their errors and access to files erroneously referenced.
