ABSTRACT

Having a wound can be distressing for some patients, wounds can impact on a patient’s wellbeing and cause both physical and psychological problems for her. It is therefore important to consider this when you undertake the initial assessment. From pain experienced on dressing change to wound odour, options are available for these problems and action must be undertaken to overcome them.
