ABSTRACT

This is not a conventional paper on the history of Polish geography (for that , see Kuklinski, 1983b). Rather, it is an att empt to present to the international geographical community the beginnings of new approaches now emerging in Poland and of analyses and evaluations of the experience and prospects of Polish geography. These new approaches are well documented in a special issue ofthe Polish Geographical Review, to be published at the end of 1983 (in Polish, with Russian and English summaries).'
