ABSTRACT
Question 2 in Chapter 1 asked, “What kinds of tests shall we construct to see how well students perform?” Tests include the entire range of instruments from information-level multiple choice tests to long-term research projects. This book focuses on the construction and use of open-ended performance tasks that take two to five class periods to complete.
