Leadership in the Community Learning Center

Staffing and leadership in the Community Learning Center are inseparable concepts. The staff should consist of a wide variety of people, both career professionals and community volunteers. Everyone in the Community Learning Center should have an opportunity, and be encouraged, to assume leadership. This chapter examines a variety of staff roles, including principal, community linker, teacher, parent, and community partner.
