ABSTRACT

I remember back in the mid 1980s when “creating a vision” was a relatively new thing, at least in education, and some veteran principals in our district and elsewhere were already growing weary of hearing about the “vision thing” all of the time. We were at a district meeting discussing contract benefits, including health benefits, for the next year when a veteran elementary principal said, “I don’t know about this vision insurance. It hasn’t protected us from one vision yet in this district.”
