Creating a mindset for revision moves seamlessly from analyzing a topic prompt into prewriting. With the mnemonic Situation-Issue-Task-Purpose-Audience (SITPA) in chapter 5, we prompted students to consider the situation, issue, purpose, task and audience before they started to write. Now it is time to help them brainstorm the possible ways to respond to those prompts.
