ABSTRACT
A Teaching Spot is a specific, consistently used location in the classroom that is utilized to gain students' attention for the purpose of focusing that attention on directions or key pieces of information. When the teacher reliably uses this intervention, students will learn to associate the spot in which the teacher stands with the need to focus their attention.
