ABSTRACT
A physical object such as a toy, stuffed animal, or small Bean Bag can be a powerful tool to encourage participation, effort, and turn-taking in the classroom. It can be a type of Concrete Reminder; students benefit from having a physical object to manipulate and remind them of the procedures, expectations, and time limits.
