ABSTRACT

With only a few weeks left in the school year, our students—and sometimes even our teachers—tend to succumb to the temptation of slacking off. There could not be a worse time to do so. While it is true that our standardized testing was completed a week earlier and the vast majority of the various curriculum standards at each grade level and within each discipline had been taught, we still had three full weeks of student school days remaining. Too often, we have a tendency to ease up at the most inopportune time: just before the finish line.
