ABSTRACT
It is essential that we seldom, if ever, deliver bad news in writing. Most of the time if we send notes home with students it is for our convenience or because it is easier for us in the short term than having to deal with a parent on the phone or in person. And, we know that a certain percentage of parents may not have home phones, but generally we should always make personal contact when delivering bad news.
