ABSTRACT

However, this still did not allow me to have some positive interaction with parents. I felt that to do so was essential, basically because I would have to have a great deal of less positive contact when I called them with punishments, detentions, suspensions, and the like, as assistant principal responsible for discipline of 700+ eighth graders. Also, I was well aware that if the students went home and said positive things about me, that would also help the parents think of me in a more positive light.
