Assess Where You Are Right Now Think about the types of questions you ask in a particular class. Take one class period from any day last week and recall the questions you asked your students throughout the lesson. You might also consider video taping yourself teaching a lesson and then review it later to see what types of questions you are asking students. How often were your questions at a basic knowledge level? How many questions re­ quired simple "yes" or "no" answers?
