      ABSTRACT

The theorising of reflexivity is integral to the process of self research and

was evidenced in the interview with Rob in Chapter 7. It would therefore

be an obvious extension of this practise to apply reflexivity in a critical

analysis of this book and the methodology proposed here. Such an analysis

will highlight the ironic risk of reproducing the very thing such an

approach attempts to critically challenge. This ‘ironic risk’ might be miti-

gated, to some degree, by regarding self research and its practice as an

‘emergent process’ within an historical context.
