ABSTRACT
In this chapter the meaning of globalization of professional services to the East European economies is discussed. Recent changes taking place in this region are reviewed. In particular, the developments in the area of pro fessional services in Eastern Europe during the past few years are described and a general overview is given of the most important limitations still existing in the region. The nature and scope of interactions between the globalization process and internal economic forces in Eastern Europe, in particular in the area of services are also examined. Some comments on the possible future involvement of Eastern Europe into this process of globali zation are presented in the last part of the chapter.
