ABSTRACT

The interconnected nature of optimal health, and the consequent paradigm shift toward wellness, teaching prevention must be primary and the counteractive and suppressive intervention must become secondary. The ideas are separated into the three categories of body, mind, and spirit, and one other category of healthy concepts. To have a sense of control was also a common theme that Pelletier discovered as an important factor in optimal health. Finding and fulfilling a purpose was another factor in optimal health that the Sound Mind, Sound Body Project discovered. Nutritional research categorically reveals that reducing fat intake not only helps in keeping body weight at healthy levels, but it also helps to prevent many serious illnesses. Therapeutic touch is a form of energy healing where energy is transmitted, usually with the therapist’s palms, from one part of the body to the part of the patient that is injured or hurting.
