ABSTRACT

This chapter explores real-life questions and issues that lesbians have about dating, sex, love, and relationship longevity. It analyses the relationship between Maureen and her lesbian partner. This month's column is a musing on the misery side of the "misery/bliss ratio. The author began that draft about three weeks ago after a blissful evening with Maureen; and the column was going very smoothly until he started writing about the not-so-blissful aspects of living together the "misery" side of the ratio. It turned out that Maureen was feeling similarly about the relationship. So they began "having it out", so to speak. The author should tell us something about that, since none of the relationship books the author read tell us what a real fight looks like especially when the relationship has sunk into the misery phase. The author wrote this column instead of trying to finish the other two so as not to be a Love Matters imposter.
