ABSTRACT
The occasion for this insurance arises when the shipowner or another party or parties to the common maritime adventure (hereinafter called "the general average financier") incurs a liability to a salvor or disburses funds on account of expenses which are expected to form the subject of a rateable contribution by all the parties concerned in the adventure.
