ABSTRACT
Elder and Bergman2 described a procedure in which children were taught to identify Blissymbols by directed eye gaze. They noted that the selection of particular symbols was determined by the environment and needs of the individual. No information was presented regarding func tional use of the symbols trained via this protocol.
