ABSTRACT
Like Warren Buffett I was born and make my living in Omaha, Nebraska. That’s about where the similarities end. However, due to this proximity I have enjoyed a pretty good vantage point of the phenomenon we now call the Oracle of Omaha. Dare I say, while he claims to have a unique gift to grow capital, he is also a masterful communicator, as well. For example, he opened his 2013 pilgrimage to Omaha (known as the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting held in an arena with more than 35,000 in attendance) by making his first official tweet (@WarrenBuffett): “Warren is in the house.” Within hours old Warren had more than 350,000 followers, and he was following 0. This is a cogent example of Integrated Communication.
