ABSTRACT
As you will almost certainly know, the EYFS became mandatory for schools and all early years providers in OFSTED-registered settings attended by young children in September 2008. The impact of this has been to combine a number of documents and proposals and principles into one framework which provides an overarching structure for the care and education of children from birth to the end of the academic year during which the child has her fifth birthday.
