ABSTRACT
One form of production reorganization that causes employment decline is intensification. By this we mean the reorganization of an existing production process, without abandoning capacity and without major investment in new forms of production, in order to increase labour productivity. Without any major changes in either the nature or scale of the labour process, therefore, the individual worker will, in a given amount of time, produce more output.
