ABSTRACT
PREP WEEKS “ Prep Weeks ” are the fi rst phase of the overall design process. During this time, the initial concept for the design and the creation of the initial paperwork are completed. The designer may have been meeting about the project for a long time, but during the prep weeks is when the design begins to be created and documented in a concrete manner. This period is not dictated by a daily schedule and may consist of design meetings, production meetings, lighting meetings, manufacturer demos, and mock-ups as well as paperwork creation.
