ABSTRACT
Cost Accounts may vary very much in form, and they may be kept with very different objects. The importance of Cost Accounts of some kind is apparently now becoming more generally recognised. In the new trade combination adopted by the bedstead and other trades, an Association Cost Book is one of the promin features. In November 1894 a most valuable lecture was delivered before this Society by Mr. White hill, dealing specially with the uses of Cost Accounts for the purposes of an audit, and giving a sample set of Cost Accounts which he regarded as specially useful for that particular purpose. The term "Cost Account", A memorandum of the supposed cost of producing an article; an account showing the application of the estimated cost of producing an article to the number of articles made or sold during a particular period.
