ABSTRACT
BY union of the Godhed to the manhod, manne was joyned to God whiche before by the temptacion of the subtle serpente, was from hym segregate and devided. By the union of the catholike churche and the outworne sinagoge, not only the hard ceremonies and dedly peines of the Mosaicall law wer clerely abholished and made frustrate, but also christian libertie is inferred and Christes religion stablished & erected. By the union of man & woman in the holy Sacrament of Matrimony the generacion is blessed, and the synne of the body clene extincte & put awaie. By the union of mariage, peace betwene real me and realme is exalted, and love betwene countree and countree is norished. By conjunction of matrimony, malice is extinct, ami tie is embraced, and indissoluble aliance and consanguinite is procured. What profite, what comfort, what joy succeded in the realme of England by the union of the fornamed two noble families, you shall apparantly perceive by the sequele of this rude and unlearned history. And because there can be no union or agrement but in respect of a division, it is consequent to reson that I manifest to you not onely the origin all cause and fountain of the same, but also declare the calamities, trobles & miseries whiche happened and chaunced duryng the tyme of the said contencious discencion.
