ABSTRACT
The simplest cycle seems to be one of the ninth century that is formed of six hadiths, in each of which, with slight variations, Mahomet is made to tell the story of an Isra, or journey by night on earth. Few topographical details, however, are given, and no mention is made of an ascent to celestial spheres.
