ABSTRACT
G.J. Nathan (1882-1958) began dramatic criticism on the staff of the ‘New York Herald’ in 1905 and helped H.L. Mencken found and edit the ‘American Mercury’ in 1924. He was one of the most widely read and influential of Broadway critics. He entitles his review Luntovich and Fontannovna.
