ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book begins with a reflective task intended to activate existing knowledge and experience. It offers a simply written and easily comprehensible introduction to “Visible Learning”. The book aims to provide the data in “Visible Learning” with insights from the non-English-speaking region as much as possible. It provides practice for cementing the new knowledge. All of the aspects of the didactic approach have proven effective for the reading and learning process according to the insights contained in Visible Learning. The book deals with a reflective task intended to activate existing knowledge and previous experience and focuses on the core messages and to infer practical consequences for the everyday job of teaching.
