ABSTRACT

Finally, we consider how some psychosynthesis techniques might be used in coaching. The disidentification meditation is central to the personal practice of many psychosynthesis coaches, and we look at how it might be introduced directly with clients. We explore how guided meditation, visualisation and other techniques can more generally be used to activate the imagination in coaching to support clients in achieving their goals. We direct the reader towards useful sources of psychosynthesis techniques and practices that the coach might draw upon. However, we caution against using techniques without adequate context and unless there is a clear purpose for doing so.
