ABSTRACT

Incubators initiated the EE phenomenon and are the pioneering and main boosters of education and learning in the entrepreneurial realm. The journey of research and practice, stemming from a structured, instructive incubation model based on providing space and services for a long period of time for tenant companies at different stages of development to recent incubator models that resemble the accelerator and factory-builder paradigms, is discussed in terms of the incubators’ impact on learners and their stakeholders. A unique illustration of an incubator in India, which is driven by a vision to impact the ecosystem, concludes Chapter 8.
