Chapter 2 teaches Step 1 of the scenario planning method. Step 1 facilitates putting the basics of a scenario planning project together: Identifying a project champion, project manager, potentially an external facilitator, and developing a team that includes executives and represents various parts of the organization. Readers also learn how to develop a focal question and meaningful time horizon, and identify key external stakeholders. This chapter prepares readers for Step 2 of the scenario planning method.
