ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the interactional details of innovative entrepreneurial teams using play in a lean startup context. Using CA, it reveals the interactional rules that signal and support play between team mates. It also highlights the verbal means by which teams accomplish heedfulness and identities while playfully enacting their work as innovators. Unlike studies focused on the social skills of entrepreneurs, this chapter homes in on the socially constructed foundations of entrepreneurial practice.
