ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an overview of the different types of violence and risk factors that may face an organization. It discusses how risk factors vary depending on the type, location, physical setting, and activities of an organization; and explains the need to address day-to-day risks of violence and not just focus on rare spectacular events.
