ABSTRACT

By the end of the 20th century, the household name Kodak had 170,000 employees and sold 85% of all photographic paper worldwide. Five years later, Kodak went bankrupt. Why? Because the Kodak business model disappeared over a very short space of time as a result of the sudden uptake of digital cameras. One could question why Kodak did not see this coming, considering that digital technology was already advancing from 1975.
