ABSTRACT

This chapter illustrates case study in relation to property market. The Meylan zirst is an example of a technological park created at the beginning of the 1970s. The idea for the zirst project was first formulated into a concrete project at the very beginning of the 1970s as a means of promoting high technology innovative products and providing an interface between industry, research and the university. The choice of the Meylan commune was the result of the priority given to environmental quality. The planning instruments used in the Grenoble agglomeration fall into two categories: planning instruments and operational tools. The Grenoble agglomeration is located in a powerful French region, Rhone-Alpes, and a prosperous department, Isere. The idea of the project emerged during the buoyant period of the late 1960s in Grenoble: a period of experimentation with new urban ideas and of the 1968 Olympic Games.
