ABSTRACT

Oriented around the work programs of the organization's major committees and directorates, this chapter outlines the issues currently dominating the OECD's agenda. The chapter commences by discussing perennial OECD themes such as sustainable economic growth, trade and development. It then moves on to examine topics, such as the environment, taxation, and education, which have moved up the OECD agenda in recent decades. Finally, it considers well-being and digitalization, two relatively new subjects where the organization is increasing recognized as an authoritative voice.
