ABSTRACT

The book concludes with a restatement of how the Ways Paradigm provides a compelling framework for clinicians to approach R/S issues in practice. It suggests that the future of R/S integration will depend on being able to address pluralism in a nonreductionist way. The formation of clinicians must include working with issues of transference around R/S issues as well as the cultivation of hospitality to difference. Finally, it argues that the different helping professions need one another’s insight in order to serve clients well in this area.
