ABSTRACT
Chapter 9 is devoted to examining compliance within the biodiversity regime, established with the aim of avoiding the loss of biodiversity. The analysis is articulated around the main legal instruments adopted under the regime: the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Cartagena and the Nagoya Protocols.
