ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 addresses compliance with IEL in context, focussing on the tools and mechanisms geared to obtaining compliance from the main IEL actors. In this chapter, a variety of hard and soft-law mechanisms are analysed, including market-based mechanisms and guidelines on IEL compliance issued by different bodies.
