ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book presents a fundamental understanding of human rights, and their relationship with tourism and the hospitality industry. It provides a generic understanding of the topic and then moves on to tourism examples including legal cases. The book examines the relationship between human rights and civil rights, and the challenges with incorporating international human rights laws into domestic laws. It provides distinct but related areas including human rights and tourism enterprises, sustainable development, and the political dimensions of human rights and tourism. The book focuses on tourism development issues and human rights, and how tourism development plays a role in the implementation of human rights. It also focuses on the right of privacy as a human right, and the applicability of this right in the tourism sector.
