ABSTRACT

Dream Sociograms were developed by the author in 1980 in order to visually depict the patterns of preferences expressed numerically in the Dream Sociomatrix. J. L. Moreno used the concept of the social atom to depict an individual's relationship to others within groups, based on preferences expressed in a sociomatrix. The closest conceptual precursor in Moreno's work to the Dream Sociogram, at least in visual presentation, is probably the hierarchical sociogram. It was designed to predict what preferences the members of a group would make. Integral Deep Listening (IDL), and in particular Dream Sociometry, with its creation of Dream Sociomatrices, Commentaries and Dream Sociograms, is graduate level training in an experiential form of multi-perspectivalism, as contrasted to primarily cognitive forms, which grasp multiple world views with a post-personal vision-logic. For something to be intrasocial for IDL it is both interior and involves collectives. However, elements that are intrasocial are more than personal, interior or aspects of self.
