ABSTRACT
The smooth running of the coding process partly depends on how well you compile the documents, transcribe the interview audio and video, label artifacts, prepare field notes, and match participants’ data to their respective demographic information. I begin this chapter by discussing the kinds of data that qualify for qualitative analysis and examine when to do manual or software-aided coding. The chapter ends with specific actions you could take to ensure that your data is ready for analysis.
