ABSTRACT

In the episodes below, I attempt to articulate my internal struggle with research on young people. An episode is an incident in the course of a series of events, in a person’s life or experience, or an incident or scene within a narrative. From a psychological perspective, an episode may also represent a distinctive period in an individual’s life that includes a heightened (psychosomatic) mood, usually abnormal (e.g. depressive, irritation, fear, anger, etc.). Below, we witness my various internal selves in a conversation, regarding my daughter’s presence in my service work with West African girls representing various ethnic/tribal affiliations.
